My experience in England

Hello friends! welcome back to another travel-themed post. In the last post I did (which was all about my experience in Paris) it was so much fun I decided to do a post about my experience in London,England but before I start if you’re new don’t forget to hit the follow button so every time I post you will get a notification sent straight to your inbox. So let’s get started shall we?

We were on our way to the airport on May 26,2019. We got through our first flight(which was only two-ish hours) and were waiting at the next airport for our 8 hour flight to the London Heathrow airport (I’m not really sure what the real name of it is) anyway we had about a very long layover due to a storm which made us almost have to leave the next morning but luckily we were able to go that night and we also got bumped up to business class which was so nice I didn’t want to fly in coach for the rest of our flights😂

I made the mistake of not sleeping during the flight so when we landed I was extremely tired I was falling asleep standing in line. I also had quite the experience, while I was standing in line my parents went through the customs while I got stuck behind them because the security person thought I was older than I actually was and put me in the wrong lane so I couldn’t get into customs. While my parents were freaking out some guy said follow me so I of course followed that guy because if I’m being completely honest I was so tired and it was about two something in the morning when we landed so I had no clue what I was doing. After an hour of waiting and making sure we had everything we made it to our airport which is the Hilton Garden Hotel. It was pretty much a standard hotel room but you could hear the airplanes take off which was cool in the day but not at night.

The first stop was the Buckingham Palace which was kind of cool seeing the Queen’s house. I don’t have too much to say about it and sorry I did not have too many pictures of the palace but of course I wanted a souvenir to remember it so after we visited the palace we went shopping like a true tourist😂

Isn’t it cute lol?

The second stop was to visit a Lauduree store which was so much fun and tiring. We had walked a distance and traveled a lot that day but we of course still made it and still managed to get our hands on some macarons.

The next stop in London was the Tower of London how iconic is that place? It was pretty cool seeing that and there was that bird that distracted me from looking at the bridge. I of course took a picture of that bird which we’ll call him Bob because he sorta looks like a Bob😂

The last place we visited was Stonehenge which was probably one of my favorite places. I was mostly focused on watching all the fluffy sheep in the pastures or valley, I’m not really sure but it was grassy. The rocks were very big and it was just a very enjoyable time in Stonehenge. If you get a chance to go to England I would definitely recommend unless you don’t really like things like this.

I of course did get a souvenir because how couldn’t I? Can you guess what I got without reading the bottom of the picture?

Yep, you saw that correct I did get a sheep even though it is for like two year olds I thought it was adorable and it’s name is Sheepy how original😂

Well that is all I’m going to share today on my experience in England, hope you enjoyed and stay tuned for more travel posts.

My experience in Paris,France

Hello! welcome to the blog if you’re new don’t forget to smash that follow button so you don’t miss any of my posts. Today I decided I wanted to do a travel type post so I am going to share my experience when I went to Paris in 2019. I was very fortunate to be able to go to Paris. It was definitely an adventure I won’t forget.

We were only there for a total of two days but in that two days we still had fun even though our expectations were different. We stayed at the Hotel Camilia International hotel and that was a pretty crazy experience. It was quite different compared to a standard hotel in the US.

Of course we (as in my family and I) got to see many of the popular tourist attractions like Arc de Triomphe,Louvre(which we didn’t go into),Palace of Versailles, and of course the Eiffel Tower. We saw most of the attractions on a bus tour which I did fall asleep halfway through it because of the jetlag. It was especially cool seeing the Obelisk as I was able to see the other one in Egypt.

At last I will chatter about the macarons 😂 They definitely did not disappoint.A couple people said they weren’t that great but I loved them. I got quite a few from airports and Lauduree places. They will definitely be missed(at least I can stare at the pictures of them)

And like that that’s all I had to say. Thank you so much for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed it and if you would like more then just smash that like button 🙂 Have a great day and happy reading

Sunshine Questions:

1.What’s your least favorite book-to-film adaption?

Hmmm… that is a hard question considering I’m not too much of a bookworm. I will have to skip this question for now.

2.What’s your longest-lasting hobby?

From what I know of my longest-lasting hobby was making slime. I use to make batches about every two weeks until recently when I decided to get rid of all my supplies and stuff because I got tired of re-activating the slime. It was such a big gooey mess when I was cleaning it out.

3.Do you prefer mountains or valleys?

I prefer mountains because they’re super pretty especially the snow-capped ones. I really like those mountains and after you climb the mountain you can sometimes get a marvelous view.

4.If you were a fruit, what kind do you think you’d be and why?

Ahh… I know exactly what I would be. I would probably be a banana. I’m not sure if this is legal in the sunshine tag but I took a what fruit are you test and the results said I am a banana.

You are

You are dependable and solid as a rock. Your friends rely on you for last-minute advice or a steady hand when they need it most. Your sweet nature and reliable ways make you a wonderful best friend.

5.What’s your favorite flower?

My favorite flower is 100% a hibiscus flower. They’re one of the most beautiful flowers(in my opinion). I especially love the yellow ones as yellow of course is my favorite color.

Liebster Questions:

1.What is the strangest thing you’ve done in the early AMs?

The strangest thing I did in the early AM’s was eat cold leftover pizza for breakfast.

2.If you had to act out an entire musical, of your choice, to save your life, which one would you choose to do?

I would act out high school musical for sure 😂 That’s literally the only musical I actually have watched all the way through.

3.What are your top three favorite words?

I like the words spaghetti, yellow, doggie (as you can tell I struggled with this one)

4.What are your top three least favorite words?

I’m not really sure with this question. I don’t really have words I don’t really like.

5.What is the most obscure thing you’ve learned?

I learned that all Skittles taste the same and don’t have flavors but instead have colors and smells. I guess that’s obscure?

6.What is the best thing you’ve read for required reading in school?

The best thing I’ve read for required reading is probably the book called “Island of the Blue Dolphins.” It was mostly entertaining but I would definitely not recommend watching the documentary unless you find things like that interesting.

7.Have you ever started reading a book, and then couldn’t bring yourself to finish it? If so, what book was it, and why couldn’t you finish it?

I have done that with so many books it’s not even funny so I would name them but I don’t really remember all of them.

8.What’s your opinion on puppets?

I personally like puppets even though I don’t have any but I think they’re cool except for the skunk one (no offense to skunks) but it looked too realistic.

9.Which do you enjoy more; sun rises or sun sets?

I love sun sets they’re so beautiful but my favorite is the “cotton candy” sunset. It is absolutely stunning like the one in the photo below.

A Girl’s Guide to Summer Skincare

Hi there! I’m Hope Leilani from, and I am so happy to be guest posting on The Planet of Positivity today! Thank you so much Martina for inviting me!

A little bit about me

I’m a lifestyle + wellness blogger, entrepreneurial teen, and an enthusiast in living my life to the fullest. I share inspiration, lifestyle tips, recipes, beauty, natural living, and more. I’m so excited to share with you today about natural skincare for the summertime, so let’s get into it!

Now that we’re officially in to summer, the sun is out, the shorts are out, and so is our skin! For us girls, our skincare is a huge part of our daily lives, and helping it be it’s best in the summertime is super important. With the dryer weather, more sun exposure, pools, sweat, and more, our skincare routine may need to be rearranged a little bit so that our skin gets all the care it needs with the new season!

Summer Skincare Routine Steps & Tips

c l e a n s e, n o u r i s h, & m o i s t u r i z e

These three steps (along with toner below) are the base of happy, healthy skin. For the summertime, you will want these three main products to brighten, nourish, and hydrate your skin and keep it healthy and glowing. My favorite facial cleanser, serum, and moisturizer lately have been the BLOOM skincare trio by Young Living. This trio is formulated specifically to brighten and give a glowy, dewy look to your skin.

b a l a n c e & e x f o l i a t e

Using a toner after cleansing will balance and restore your skin’s Ph while helping to dissolve any extra dirt and yuckies that have stayed in your pores after cleansing. Witch hazel and apple cider vinegar are both wonderful options for a natural, effective toner. This glowy and dewy green tea facial mist has been my favorite for toning and adding nutrients to my skin during the summer!

Exfoliating is also a super important part of your facial wellness as it removes dead skin cells to reveal, new bright ones. Make sure you are always gentle with this step, as being too rough can hurt instead of help. You’ll want to do this 2-3 times a week for best results! You can make your own exfoliator, or you can buy a natural one like this one.

h y d r a t e & b r i g h t e n e y e s

Your eyes may be a forgotten part of your facial regimen, but it is so important! The sun can take a toll on your eyes, and so it’s important to give them some love and hydration. To keep them bright, hydrated, and youthful, make sure to add an under eye serum or cream to your regimen after moisturizing. This is a great one from 100% Pure made with coffee beans and green tea to help with dark circles and puffiness. I love doing this morning and night!

m a s s a g e & d e t o x i f y

Jade rolling is a wonderful way to sooth, detoxify, and massage your skin. I love to do this after applying my serum so that it pushes in the nourishment of the serum even more while massaging my skin and detoxifying my lymph nodes. The serum (brightening essence) I use is listed above in the first step from the BLOOM skincare trio. Here is a helpful and super simple video on how to jade roll!

r e s t o r e & n o u r i s h

Applying a face mask one to two times a week in the summertime will refresh and renew your skin even more. Make sure to pick (or make) ones with antioxidants and vitamins to protect and heal your skin from the summertime sunshine, weather, and pollutants. I love to make my own face masks, but there are also some really amazing and natural ones that you can buy. Check out Sand & Sky for some lovely ones.

p r o t e c t & h e a l

As we are going to be in the sun a lot during the summer, we need to protect our lovely skin from the UV rays of the sun. Sunshine is actually amazing for your skin and your health in moderate amounts, but too much can have harmful effects. So to be safe and protected, adding sunscreen to your skincare routine before putting on your makeup will keep your skin healthy and youthful. Make sure to use a natural sunscreen, as chemical based ones can actually be harmful to your skin and may cause irritation and breakouts. I love using Young Living’s pure mineral sunscreen, which is formulated with skin loving zinc.

If you happen to get a little bit too much sun, then using pure aloe vera gel will do wonders in healing and restoring your skin! I love using it after being out in the sun for a while, or right after cleansing.

☀ Summer skincare routine in correct order

  1. Cleanse – everyday, morning & night
  2. Face mask – 1-2 x a week
  3. Exfoliate at night – 2-3 x a week
  4. Tone – everyday, morning & night
  5. Serum – everyday, morning & night
  6. Jade roll – everyday; morning, night, or both
  7. Moisturize – everyday, morning & night
  8. Eye cream – everyday; morning, night, or both
  9. Sunscreen – everyday, or when going outside
  10. Aloe vera – if sun-kissed/sunburned or whenever you feel like it’s needed!

This may sound like quite a few steps, but it is honestly quite simple and not everything is needed everyday. You can either add on to your skincare routine that you already have, or create a new one from this guide. I have personally found that my facial care routine is really therapeutic and a wonderful opportunity to take care of yourself, say affirmations, and just feel refreshed.

I hope that you enjoyed this Girl’s Guide to Summer Skincare, and that you get your glow on while enjoying your summer! What do you do for your summer skincare? Let me know your thoughts + questions in the comments below!

The tea about trends I participated in *Bonus Post

Welcome back friends, what should I call you guys? What about aliens not in a bad way but just because it fits with the whole planet theme? Let me know if you think I should do that. Let’s get started shall we? Today I will be talking about trends I participated on and I will give my honest opinions if I think they were worth the money.

So before I start if you don’t know what a trend is :The definition of a trend is a general direction or something popular. An example of trend is a northern moving coastline. An example of trend is the style of bell bottom jeans (Yes,I got it of of Google……shhhhh 😂)

  1. Slime
Fluffy Slime Recipe - The Best Ideas for Kids

Ahhh! I remember the weird sticky feeling of slime stuck on my hands while I was making it. If you didn’t know slime was a hot commodity in 2015. It was basically made with glue of course, food dye,and some sort of “activator” which was cornstarch and contact solution, borax, laundry detergent or if it was made in a factory I am not sure then. You can still buy slime from shops online or in stores too.

Now that you know what slime is here are my honest opinions. I thought slime was super fun to make at the time. My friend and I use to plan a “slime shop” at school everyday and get the scents and themes of slime. Of course that didn’t work out because we both went out separate ways and occasionally contact each other on holidays but anyway it was fun until a few months ago because I had to keep activating the slime to keep it from turning into liquid.I eventually threw out all my ruined supplies like the contact solution and the shaving cream and kept the non ruined supplies for other arts and crafts and that was the last day I saw slime(well used to be slime it was more of a liquid)in my house. I didn’t spend $100’s of dollars but I did spend quite a lot in my opinion.

2. Fidget spinner

Buy Fidget Spinner Quad Fade at

Fidget spinners were a big thing in 2017 I mean BIG thing. They were in many stores and they had tons of colors and designs. So if you haven’t heard of them before you basically hold the circle in the center with your thumb and pointer finger and you spin the sides? They were meant for calming and fidgeting but that trend is like extinct now. I personally enjoyed this trend. I still have a few of my fidget spinners. I like to use them when I’m very bored but other than that there’s not too much left to say about them.

3.Rainbowloom bands

20 Beautiful Rainbow Loom Bracelets

These were a big thing one year I don’t really remember what year but everyone wanted a bracelet and they were sold out everywhere. They were super cool to wear but I only wore them for a few minutes because I thought they were sorta itchy. In one of my recent posts I showed you guys I was making them again. It has been a super fun thing to do to pass time and they’re reasonably cheap nowdays.

5 Ways to Wear The Scrunchie Trend - A Beautiful Mess

You may have heard of these if you were alive during the 80’s. They made a big comeback during the late 2010’s and they have more colors and patterns than you could even imagine. They are at many stores across the US and other countries I don’t really know and they are seen on many wrists and in hair. A scrunchie is basically a fabric covered elastic which you wear on your hair. They’re supposed to be more gentle than a normal hairtie. I have a few scrunchies and I can not say how much I actually use them. They are not as tight on my hair and they don’t pull as hard.

That is all so far but if you enjoyed feel free to smash that like button if you could. Have a great day and thanks for reading.

A Day in the Life of Me:Summer Edition

You guessed it! today I am going to be doing a day in the life of me :summer edition which you probably could tell by the title and the featured image. So let’s start shall we? (Just imagine I’m talking like a youtuber with a voiceover effect)

I wake up around 8:30-10:00 a.m and my bed is messy with the sheets half on the bed and there’s me with my hair all over the place. Of course everyone uses the bathroom in the morning which means so do I. I’m not going into detail because TMI. After the quick bathroom stop, I sometimes go back to my room and watch some show or something on my bed.

*30 MINUTES LATER… Literally

I head to the kitchen to eat some breakfast. I generally don’t eat pancakes, eggs, and stuff like that. It’s normally leftovers from dinner the night before or it’s a frozen eggo waffle. I generally don’t eat cereal for breakfast because it doesn’t fill my stomach for the day. It makes me super hungry by lunch time. After breakfast I usually forget to brush my teeth and clean my skin (it’s a bad habit I know).

After breakfast,it usually depends what I have scheduled to do that day. Today I started blogging and edited my blog a little bit and watched some more shows and that was basically my day.

Thanks for reading this weeks post. Hope you enjoyed and have a lovely day 🙂

P.S. watch out for another bonus post this week. It has something to do with old trends.
