Things To Do Instead Of Using Your Phone

Hey friends! How are you all doing? I hope you all are having a wonderful day. I know I sure miss the warm sunny weather. Since I spend probably way too much time on my phone, I was inspired to create this post. I am trying to spend less time on my phone each day to really reflect and enjoy each day of my life without distractions so let’s get started with the post.

1. Stretch

For those of us who sit at our desks all day, stretching can be so relaxing after a long day. Stretching also has many benefits like posture, decrease in back pain, and more. Just make sure you don’t hold one stretch for too long as it can over stretch your muscles.

2. Learn a musical instrument

Learning a musical instrument might sound hard but there are a few instruments that only take a few months to master like the recorder or the ukulele and the best part is you can play your favorite tunes.

3.Take a walk

Walks are great exercise and sometimes they give you the most beautiful scenery. After I take walks, I feel so refreshed and happy I went on the walk.

4.Play a game

I honestly love to play games like Monopoly Jr or Uno. Although I don’t get to play them that often I really enjoy them when I am able to play.

5.Do a puzzle

I’m not too much of a puzzle person but when I start to enjoy doing a puzzle it’s always a lot of fun especially if you’re doing it with your friends.

Why I Only Blog Once A Week

Bonjour! (Hello) Welcome back to the blog. I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. I realized I haven’t done a bonus post in quite awhile so I decided to surprise you all with a bonus post. For today’s bonus post I will reveal why I only blog once a week (except this week of course) so let’s get started.

I don’t know if you know but when I started blogging I decided to do a 30 day gratitude challenge which was a lot of fun but since I was new to the blogging world it was one of the most challenging things to pull off. I remember the exact day the post was supposed to go public I was scrambling to get it up exactly at 12:00 a.m. I pretty much had to post every single day because I was so worn out from blogging and didn’t really know about the scheduled post feature.

After that I took quite a few hiatuses to try to revive myself but I lost most of my motivation to blog . I tried to force myself to blog twice a week and stick to a schedule but it was so hard for me. It just felt like it was turning into more of a chore than a hobby. School started soon after and I was so busy I had completely forgotten to blog for the whole month of August.

Luckily my mom reminded me to blog in the month of September and that was when I started my new “schedule.” It’s more of a reminder for me to blog once a week but it’s what helps me to stay motivated and keep making creative content on the blog so there you go! That is the reason I blog only once a week usually. I would love to blog more than once a week but I feel like I’m more rushed and not as creative as I could be.

I am so grateful for all of you who have joined my blogging journey and I hope to keep creating and expanding my blog in 2021. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you all in the next post.

How I Plan My Week

Hello again! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the first month of the new year. It has been quite awhile since I’ve posted anything so today since we are in the new year I wanted to share how I plan my week. I feel like planning your week simply just helps the week go by smoothly because you already know your goals and priorities and it helps you feel a bit more organized, so without further ado let’s get started.

Of course the first step to planning my week is to get a planner. You can select a digital planner if you would like it on your device or a physical planner to write stuff down. I personally have a physical planner because it works best for me. If you were wondering, click here to find out what planner I have 🙂

Since I have a monthly and weekly planner, I like to add birthdays and long term events to the monthly side like shown in the picture below and of course there’s a to-do section so I mostly write in things like blog posts and school assignments.

In the weekly section I prefer to write in things like reminders and all the things that will take place that day. Luckily there is a to do beside the boxes so I can simultaneously fill out my goals and priorities while jotting down events that will take place that day.

That’s pretty much it to my planning method. Most of my daily life is a routine so I don’t need to add too much to my planner but if you don’t have one it definitely helps with organization.

If you enjoyed this post don’t forget to like it and stay tuned for more content coming up. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you all in the next post.

My 2020 Recap

Hey guys! I hope you had a wonderful holiday last week. I know I had a great holiday from helping cook in the kitchen to gifting presents. In this post I wanted to share what happened in 2020 in my pov so let’s get started.

2020 was one of the best/ worst years of my life. Most of my vacation trips got canceled, I had online schooling which was horrible, and I was stuck in my house with nothing to do but through it all I learned gratitude and to not take things for granted.

At the beginning of the pandemic everything closed including schools, churches, and pretty much everything except essential businesses. I had never experienced something like this in my life. I had never really worn a mask except a few minutes or something at the doctor so it was pretty new and scary to me. I had no clue what would happen but I was just praying we would be safe and we were.

Since this year was very depressing for some people I’m just going to share the highlights of my year.

March- I started my blog which was a wonderful decision on my part. It taught me gratitude and gave me something to help my eagerness to get out of the house and I was also able to go to Las Vegas right before Covid lockdown.

April- I had fun taking a break from school to take a long walk with my sister.

May- School officially ended for me and I was finally finished with online schooling

June- My birthday came and I had a water gun “fight” with my sister and for all the curious people I had cake shaped as a hamburger 🙂

July- We were able to go jet skiing and canoeing which was so much fun I would definitely recommend it.

August-School started up again in-person and I got to see all my friends again.

September-I got a new phone which I’m so grateful for. I feel so blessed to be able to have a new phone with such a big discounted price.

October-My room re-decoration officially started.

November-Thanksgiving happened and I had a nice little meal with my family.

December- Christmas came and ended:( I had a wonderful Christmas giving all my gifts and seeing all the smiles on people’s faces.

Well that was pretty much my year and although it was awful sometimes I’m so grateful for another year. I hope you have an amazing year too and hope to see you in the next post.
