My Favorite Summer Snacks

Good Morning Readers! Can you believe it’s already Friday? This whole week I felt like it was Friday everyday. It was a fairly busy summer week for me. You would think I would be bored out of my mind but I surprisingly kept busy somehow. Anyway for today’s post I decided to share my favorite summer snacks. Let’s get started then.

1. Ants On A Log

I have recently been eating ants on a log quite a lot. I love how the raisins balance out the peanut butter so it’s not as sweet. It’s also healthy-ish so you don’t have to worry about eating too many of these.

2. Cheez-its

Of course I couldn’t forget one of my favorite snacks which are Cheez-its. These are definitely not as healthy as the ants on a log but they’re so good. I have been eating so many Cheez-its my ears got plugged. That was not a fun experience for me and I don’t recommend eating that many Cheez-its 😉

3. Orange Slices

I also have been eating a ton of oranges. I like to slice them in wedges and they’re so yummy.

4. Raisins and Cashews

I have an odd obsession with eating raisins and cashews. It’s like a mix of sweet and semi-sweet(depending on your cashews) It tastes even better with white chocolate chips.

5. Popcorn

I also really like to eat popcorn. I really love the Orville Redenbacher mini bags because they are the best snack size bags. They’re probably half the size of the normal sized popcorn bags. When I don’t want to eat a whole bag I just grab these and they’re perfect.

Thank you so much for reading my favorite summer snacks. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Stay tuned for more summer posts coming shortly. Have a wonderful day 🙂

My Summer Favorites

Hello fellow readers! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you all are doing well and having a great day. For today’s post I thought it would be really fun to do a summer favorite post. I don’t think I’ve ever done one before so this should be pretty interesting. Grab a comfy chair and let’s get started.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum

The Ordinary. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I recently bought the Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum from Ulta and it has worked so well for me. I’ve only used it for about 3 weeks and it helps my blemishes heal so fast. I try to use it twice daily but I just mostly use it once because I either forget or don’t feel like doing my whole skincare routine 😉 The best part of serum is the price. You can get the 30 ml bottle for $5.90 USD and the 60 ml bottle for $10.60 USD

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors

Another great product by the ordinary is their Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. This moisturizer really helps my skin after I use the Niacinamide serum. The Niacinamide serum is more on the drying side to help with sebum, blemishes, and congestion so this definitely helps balance my skin from drying out.

CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin

CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin

The CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin is probably the best cleanser I’ve tried so far. It takes off all the oil and dirt but it’s not harsh on my skin. It is also fragrance free which is a plus because sometimes the fragrances in skincare can smell absolutely disgusting. You can buy this product at stores like Walmart, Target, Ulta etc.

Target 6pk Washcloth Set

I actually got these in the mint color but I’m absolutely loving these washcloths. They are so cute and they do their job pretty well. I would say that these washcloths are pretty average so you don’t have to go out and especially buy these. There are many other options around that might even be softer too.

Champagne Toast Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Champagne Toast Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

The champagne toast is one of my favorite scents at bath and body works. I absolutely love the scent so I was very excited when I was able to grab this soap. I got mine for about $5 excluding tax but I used the 4 for $20 deal.

Paperbag shorts

BEST ASSET BLACK PAPERBAG WAIST SHORTS | Petite Looloo | Fashion, Fashion clothes women, Muslim women fashion

I have been loving my pair of paperbag shorts. They are not only perfect for summer but they are so comfortable. They also have pockets which are very handy for storing your phone or anything you may need to carry.

Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you have any blog post suggestions don’t hesitate to drop them in the comments 🙂 Have a wonderful rest of your day or night.

Life Update + A Very Exciting Thing

Hey everyone! Good morning and welcome to another blog post about my life. Today we are going to get a little more personal than usual. It has been quite awhile since my last blog post and I decided to share why it has been so long. I also have a very exciting thing to discuss so keep reading to find out about it. As usual let’s get started ⬇

Over the past 4 weeks, my weeks just keep getting busier and busier as I head into summer vacation. I have just been planning and planning for various and sundry things and trying to get ready for my next adventure. I will admit although I love to plan, it has been a bit stressful for me. I will still try my best to create content for you all. I can’t promise to stick to my regular schedule so I might skip a week if I’m too busy.

Although this may be a little disappointing, I should be back to a more regular schedule during the summer time as I have plenty of time to create content on the blog. Who knows I might even start a series of some sort. Whatever happens to this blog in the future, I want you all to know how grateful I am to be able to create content for this blog. I appreciate all the kind comments you all have given me and I look forward to this blog’s future 🙂

Now I will share the “Very Exciting Thing.” If you couldn’t tell, I have revamped my blog into a more “boho” theme. I am really into the boho\minimalist feel so I was very happy with the results. I love the terracotta color so it fit into my theme perfectly. I am still in the process of creating a new logo so be sure to look out for that. I may or may not do a post on that showcasing it.

I hope you all enjoyed reading my posts again 🙂 I definitely missed blogging on here. Hope you have a great week and see you next time!

Why I Only Blog Once A Week

Bonjour! (Hello) Welcome back to the blog. I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. I realized I haven’t done a bonus post in quite awhile so I decided to surprise you all with a bonus post. For today’s bonus post I will reveal why I only blog once a week (except this week of course) so let’s get started.

I don’t know if you know but when I started blogging I decided to do a 30 day gratitude challenge which was a lot of fun but since I was new to the blogging world it was one of the most challenging things to pull off. I remember the exact day the post was supposed to go public I was scrambling to get it up exactly at 12:00 a.m. I pretty much had to post every single day because I was so worn out from blogging and didn’t really know about the scheduled post feature.

After that I took quite a few hiatuses to try to revive myself but I lost most of my motivation to blog . I tried to force myself to blog twice a week and stick to a schedule but it was so hard for me. It just felt like it was turning into more of a chore than a hobby. School started soon after and I was so busy I had completely forgotten to blog for the whole month of August.

Luckily my mom reminded me to blog in the month of September and that was when I started my new “schedule.” It’s more of a reminder for me to blog once a week but it’s what helps me to stay motivated and keep making creative content on the blog so there you go! That is the reason I blog only once a week usually. I would love to blog more than once a week but I feel like I’m more rushed and not as creative as I could be.

I am so grateful for all of you who have joined my blogging journey and I hope to keep creating and expanding my blog in 2021. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you all in the next post.

P.S. If you have any particular posts you would like to see on this blog you can find me in the comments or contact me here

My 2020 Recap

Hey guys! I hope you had a wonderful holiday last week. I know I had a great holiday from helping cook in the kitchen to gifting presents. In this post I wanted to share what happened in 2020 in my pov so let’s get started.

2020 was one of the best/ worst years of my life. Most of my vacation trips got canceled, I had online schooling which was horrible, and I was stuck in my house with nothing to do but through it all I learned gratitude and to not take things for granted.

At the beginning of the pandemic everything closed including schools, churches, and pretty much everything except essential businesses. I had never experienced something like this in my life. I had never really worn a mask except a few minutes or something at the doctor so it was pretty new and scary to me. I had no clue what would happen but I was just praying we would be safe and we were.

Since this year was very depressing for some people I’m just going to share the highlights of my year.

March- I started my blog which was a wonderful decision on my part. It taught me gratitude and gave me something to help my eagerness to get out of the house and I was also able to go to Las Vegas right before Covid lockdown.

April- I had fun taking a break from school to take a long walk with my sister.

May- School officially ended for me and I was finally finished with online schooling

June- My birthday came and I had a water gun “fight” with my sister and for all the curious people I had cake shaped as a hamburger 🙂

July- We were able to go jet skiing and canoeing which was so much fun I would definitely recommend it.

August-School started up again in-person and I got to see all my friends again.

September-I got a new phone which I’m so grateful for. I feel so blessed to be able to have a new phone with such a big discounted price.

October-My room re-decoration officially started.

November-Thanksgiving happened and I had a nice little meal with my family.

December- Christmas came and ended:( I had a wonderful Christmas giving all my gifts and seeing all the smiles on people’s faces.

Well that was pretty much my year and although it was awful sometimes I’m so grateful for another year. I hope you have an amazing year too and hope to see you in the next post.

My Winter Bucket List

Hey guys! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you had a Merry Christmas last Friday. I know I did, I got a lot of presents and a lot of smiles from the people I gave gifts to. In this post I decided (since it technically is winter) to share my winter bucket list. I don’t really make bucket lists but I decided to this time so let’s get on with the post.

Disclaimer: None of these photos are mine 🙂

1.Bake Cookies

Cookies, Plate, Christmas Cookies, Treats, Snacks

Baking cookies are definitely at the top of my list. I recently have been super interested in cooking and baking so I am definitely going to try to bake cookies before my break is over and I also got a lot of cookie cutters and baking tools for Christmas so I’m very excited to use them.

2. Build a Snowman

Snow Woman, Snowman, Snow, Winter, Cold, Fun, Woman

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to build a snowman but if there’s enough snow for that I’ll be sure to take lots of photos 🙂

3.Go Sledding

**Insert Stock Photo Here**

Well I couldn’t find a picture but sledding is always so much fun especially when you try to sled with your dog. They never can sit still for some reason.

4. See the Christmas Lights

Angel, Figurine, Ornament, Angel Figurine

Even though Christmas has ended just know I did see Christmas lights and that was such a blast. I loved seeing all the lights and they even had synchronized lights that matched the music.

5.Listen to Christmas Music

I pretty much listened to Christmas music all through the month of December every single day so that was fun. Most of the songs were replayed on that station so that was fun.

6.Celebrate the New Year

New Year'S Eve, Fireworks, Beacon

I don’t know about you but what I call celebrating the new year is cracking a glow stick. I don’t really stay up or countdown mainly because it’s not something I’ve ever done or need to do.

7.Watch Movies all Day

Popcorn, Movies, Cinema, Entertainment

I’ve definitely done this and not because I wanted to but because I was bored and lazy. To whoever’s reading this I want to tell you a piece of advice. Don’t watch movies all day. It is extremely boring and you have better things to do than watch movies all day you’re welcome for the wonderful advice 🙂 (This is just my opinion, If you want to watch movies all day it’s your choice)

8.Make a Fort

Blanket forts are so much fun to build and stay in. They’re mostly easy to build and take down and if you don’t have a lot of space you shouldn’t have to worry.

9.Snowball Fight

Stock Photo|Multicultural family playing snowball fight.

Last year I had a blast throwing snowballs at my dogs. They didn’t seem to enjoy that so I threw them at my sister. That was absolutely amazing and don’t worry no animals or humans were harmed in the making.

10. Call my Friends

I should probably call my friends more often than I do. We all have different schedules so it is kind of hard but if you’re reading this, this is a sign to call your friends.

Thank you so much for reading this post, if you enjoyed it don’t forget to like it and stay tuned for more posts. Hope you all have a wonderful day and see you all in the next post.

My Experience in Las Vegas: Part 2

Hello! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you all are doing well and ready for another post on my experience in Las Vegas. Before we start, if you haven’t read part 1 click here. Anyway without further adieu let’s get started.

March 17…Day 2 (technically day 3)

On March 17, we did a lot more sightseeing in detail. We went slower and took the time to get out of the car to take the photos. We also shopped for souvenirs (which are not pictured below)

Some photos at the Las Vegas Strip

After “sightseeing” we got to do something super cool. We were able to visit the shop from the show “Pawn Stars”. That was super cool seeing it on tv and now in real life. It was quite smaller than shown on tv which was quite surprising to me. Before you ask, no we did not get to see the actual stars of the show. That would be super cool though.

After looking around for this shop, we made our way to Red Rock Canyon and it was so beautiful. It was quite windy but it was worth the drive and if you were wondering, I did get to take a quick nap 🙂

After we were finished visiting, we went back to the hotel and “chilled” (as in watched tv)in the room. Since we went right before covid-19 quarantine, we decided to leave one day early so we could go back home instead of being stranded in Las Vegas.

We packed and got ready for the next day and the long hours of waiting.

March 18…day 3

We left the resort around 3 in the morning and got ready to return our rental car and start waiting for our flight to board. I was so tired I can hardly remember what actually happened but my pictures carry the memories of a life time.

If you’ve made it here and enjoyed this post, please like this post if you want more interesting “experiences” and have a wonderful day.

My Experience In Las Vegas: Part 1

Hello! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you are doing well and enjoying life. Since I haven’t been able to travel recently, I decided I would post about my most recent experience in Las Vegas. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to share with you what I did in Las Vegas so without further adieu, let’s get started.

Before you ask, I did not participate in any activities that were 18+ (just wanted to make that clear)

On March 15, 2020 we (as in my family and I) made our way to Las Vegas, Nevada. We flew from 10:00 P.M. to the McCarran International Airport and made it to our destination at around 2:00 A.M. as always it takes such a long time to get the rental car and make it to your hotel or resort type thing ,but around 4:00 A.M. we could finally go to sleep after a long day of packing and waiting.

March 16…Day 1 (technically day 2)

On March 16, we did quite a lot of sightseeing and it was more of a relaxing day. We let ourselves sleep in (a sleep in day for us is like 7:00) and take it easy. We started the day off by touring the Las Vegas Strip and seeing all the cool structures and things we don’t have here back home.

I don’t have any great quality pictures from the Las Vegas Strip so please enjoy these palm trees.

After quite awhile of driving around and seeing Las Vegas, we decided to tour around to the Seven Magic Mountains which are colorful stacked boulders just located 10 miles south of Las Vegas. I really wanted to see these massive colorful rocks so I was so excited when we arrived.

A little plant near the giant structures

These are some of the pictures I took while I was visiting there. I really enjoyed visiting these structures. It was really fun and plus on the way there I snuck in a quick nap 🙂

After we were there, we decided to also visit Hoover Dam which was pretty cool. I honestly didn’t know what Hoover Dam was but I was just excited anyway, it was probably the adrenaline 🙂

After Hoover Dam, we walked around the mall and enjoyed seeing the comparison between this mall and our mall back home. It had a little river which you could pay to ride in a canoe-type thing, I thought it was kind of cool since I had never seen that in a mall before.

The last thing we did was eat dinner. I believe we ate Indian food which was ok. The food wasn’t spectacular but it was good. I also got a smoothie from Jamba Juice which was kind of expensive but it definitely quenched my cravings.

Well, if you have made it this far please like this post if you enjoyed it and stay tuned to find out what happened in part 2 of my experience in Las Vegas. Have a wonderful rest of your day and see you in the next post.

What’s in My Makeup Bag

Hello guys! Guess who’s back from a long break. I finally had the motivation and the time that I need to write this post so I figured I’d take advantage of it. Since some of my makeup is expiring, I thought I’d do a “What’s in my makeup bag” to remember the products I liked and didn’t like for the future, and who knows maybe you’ll end up liking some of the products too, so without further adieu let’s get started.

First of all, this is the bag I use to store all my stuff in. I got two of these bags from H&M for $3 which was a great price considering it could’ve been more. So far they’ve both held up very nicely and they do their job well.

This is the next thing I have is this ELF dewy setting mist. It is a great product but it also smells like coconut paradise which is a plus. The only bad thing I would say is the pump makes the product come out a little hard unless you spray quite a few feet away.

This is the primer I like to use and also the only primer I’ve ever had. I haven’t tried any other primers but this one works pretty well for my skin type. It keeps my skin from being too oily and overall smooths my face.

There would normally be a picture of my brushes but I looked everywhere to insert them but I just have a 6 pack of full face brushes and two duo eye brushes.

This is my foundation I use sometimes. It’s a good foundation for my skin but it’s a little heavy on the makeup for me. I will probably not be buying a foundation in the future because I prefer a more natural look.

I have a concealer but it’s two orangey for my skin, so I will not include a picture of that ,but if you wanted to know what I use. I use the ELF 16 hr camo concealer. It’s really a nice formula but a bit too orange.

This was an awesome mascara I used for quite awhile. It had a great formula and worked really well. It was never really clumpy and it passed the waterproof test for me.

This is the Elf Glow Gleam Beam highlighter palette and what can I say? It is so nice. It has three glittery shades and three metallic shades perfect for whatever look you want.

This palette is super colorful. I’ve played around with some of the colors but I tend to stick around to the more neutral kinds of shades with this palette. When I go out of my comfort zone, I definitely like the bright yellows and oranges as they are two of my favorite colors.

This is the last item I have is a 16 pan eyeshadow palette with all neutral colors. I got this palette for $11.97 and I do not regret it although I haven’t used it too terribly much, I definitely like this item.

If you’ve made it here, don’t forget to like this post and stay tuned for more content. Have a wonderful day and see you in the next post.
