My Summer Favorites

Hello fellow readers! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you all are doing well and having a great day. For today’s post I thought it would be really fun to do a summer favorite post. I don’t think I’ve ever done one before so this should be pretty interesting. Grab a comfy chair and let’s get started.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum

The Ordinary. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I recently bought the Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum from Ulta and it has worked so well for me. I’ve only used it for about 3 weeks and it helps my blemishes heal so fast. I try to use it twice daily but I just mostly use it once because I either forget or don’t feel like doing my whole skincare routine 😉 The best part of serum is the price. You can get the 30 ml bottle for $5.90 USD and the 60 ml bottle for $10.60 USD

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors

Another great product by the ordinary is their Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. This moisturizer really helps my skin after I use the Niacinamide serum. The Niacinamide serum is more on the drying side to help with sebum, blemishes, and congestion so this definitely helps balance my skin from drying out.

CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin

CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin

The CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin is probably the best cleanser I’ve tried so far. It takes off all the oil and dirt but it’s not harsh on my skin. It is also fragrance free which is a plus because sometimes the fragrances in skincare can smell absolutely disgusting. You can buy this product at stores like Walmart, Target, Ulta etc.

Target 6pk Washcloth Set

I actually got these in the mint color but I’m absolutely loving these washcloths. They are so cute and they do their job pretty well. I would say that these washcloths are pretty average so you don’t have to go out and especially buy these. There are many other options around that might even be softer too.

Champagne Toast Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Champagne Toast Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

The champagne toast is one of my favorite scents at bath and body works. I absolutely love the scent so I was very excited when I was able to grab this soap. I got mine for about $5 excluding tax but I used the 4 for $20 deal.

Paperbag shorts

BEST ASSET BLACK PAPERBAG WAIST SHORTS | Petite Looloo | Fashion, Fashion clothes women, Muslim women fashion

I have been loving my pair of paperbag shorts. They are not only perfect for summer but they are so comfortable. They also have pockets which are very handy for storing your phone or anything you may need to carry.

Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you have any blog post suggestions don’t hesitate to drop them in the comments 🙂 Have a wonderful rest of your day or night.

Celebrating 1 Year of Blogging

Good evening readers! Welcome back to the blog. It’s good to “see” you all again. I hope you all are doing well and excited for today’s post because we are celebrating 1 year of blogging. March 28( Sorry I’m late lol this was the earliest I could get this up)marks one year on this blog which is absolutely crazy to me. I never thought I’d make it this far on my blog.

Throughout my blogging “career” I’ve had plenty of disappointments and exciting things happen to me but I’ve truly learned many valuable things. I am so grateful for all of you who have left kind comments and have supported me by following my blog or even just the people that read my content.

I am so glad my mom convinced me to try blogging because it has been so good for me. I have been able to let my creativity flow and it’s been a super fun journey. I’ve even learned some basic graphic design skills which is very handy.

As we go into another year of blogging, I hope to keep creating entertaining content for all ages to enjoy. See you all next time on the blog 🙂

My 2020 Recap

Hey guys! I hope you had a wonderful holiday last week. I know I had a great holiday from helping cook in the kitchen to gifting presents. In this post I wanted to share what happened in 2020 in my pov so let’s get started.

2020 was one of the best/ worst years of my life. Most of my vacation trips got canceled, I had online schooling which was horrible, and I was stuck in my house with nothing to do but through it all I learned gratitude and to not take things for granted.

At the beginning of the pandemic everything closed including schools, churches, and pretty much everything except essential businesses. I had never experienced something like this in my life. I had never really worn a mask except a few minutes or something at the doctor so it was pretty new and scary to me. I had no clue what would happen but I was just praying we would be safe and we were.

Since this year was very depressing for some people I’m just going to share the highlights of my year.

March- I started my blog which was a wonderful decision on my part. It taught me gratitude and gave me something to help my eagerness to get out of the house and I was also able to go to Las Vegas right before Covid lockdown.

April- I had fun taking a break from school to take a long walk with my sister.

May- School officially ended for me and I was finally finished with online schooling

June- My birthday came and I had a water gun “fight” with my sister and for all the curious people I had cake shaped as a hamburger 🙂

July- We were able to go jet skiing and canoeing which was so much fun I would definitely recommend it.

August-School started up again in-person and I got to see all my friends again.

September-I got a new phone which I’m so grateful for. I feel so blessed to be able to have a new phone with such a big discounted price.

October-My room re-decoration officially started.

November-Thanksgiving happened and I had a nice little meal with my family.

December- Christmas came and ended:( I had a wonderful Christmas giving all my gifts and seeing all the smiles on people’s faces.

Well that was pretty much my year and although it was awful sometimes I’m so grateful for another year. I hope you have an amazing year too and hope to see you in the next post.

What I Learned About Blogging

Hello! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you are all doing well. It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything but don’t worry I will still be posting as much as I can. Today I shall discuss with you things I learned about blogging. So without further adíeu let’s get started.

If you didn’t know, I have been blogging for a few months now and it’s been quite a journey. I’ve tried all sorts of different blog themes, post styles, featured images and more,so keep reading to find out what I have to say about blogging.

1. Don’t burn yourself out

When I started my blogging journey, I tried to post almost everyday and soon it just started feeling more like a chore and less of a hobby. Since then I try to post about two times a week or pretty much whenever I am in the mood for blogging.

2. Be patient

About two months after I started blogging I had a small follower count (which I was very grateful for) and this other blog that started weeks after me already had over 40 followers by the time I had 20. By that time I will admit I was a little discouraged and I kept trying to change how I posted things and it just made things worse. I was trying to post things that weren’t in my niche. Patience is very important because the followers will come to your blog. It just takes time but I assure you it’s worth it.

3. Be consistent

If you are consistent with your posts, your followers will then know when you post and will most likely return to your blog.

4. Don’t post something if you don’t like reading it

If you can’t read through your own post then there’s a chance not a lot of other people will enjoy reading it. For example, I was working on writing a story and I did not enjoy reading it. It was absolutely horrible.Since then it has been moved to my drafts until further notice.

5. Have fun

You should have fun blogging. Don’t force yourself to blog if you don’t want to. Take your time and if you need to,take that much needed break.

If you’ve enjoyed this post don’t forget to hit that like button and follow this blog. Have an amazing day and see you in the next post.
