What I Learned About Blogging

Hello! Welcome back to the blog. I hope you are all doing well. It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything but don’t worry I will still be posting as much as I can. Today I shall discuss with you things I learned about blogging. So without further adíeu let’s get started.

If you didn’t know, I have been blogging for a few months now and it’s been quite a journey. I’ve tried all sorts of different blog themes, post styles, featured images and more,so keep reading to find out what I have to say about blogging.

1. Don’t burn yourself out

When I started my blogging journey, I tried to post almost everyday and soon it just started feeling more like a chore and less of a hobby. Since then I try to post about two times a week or pretty much whenever I am in the mood for blogging.

2. Be patient

About two months after I started blogging I had a small follower count (which I was very grateful for) and this other blog that started weeks after me already had over 40 followers by the time I had 20. By that time I will admit I was a little discouraged and I kept trying to change how I posted things and it just made things worse. I was trying to post things that weren’t in my niche. Patience is very important because the followers will come to your blog. It just takes time but I assure you it’s worth it.

3. Be consistent

If you are consistent with your posts, your followers will then know when you post and will most likely return to your blog.

4. Don’t post something if you don’t like reading it

If you can’t read through your own post then there’s a chance not a lot of other people will enjoy reading it. For example, I was working on writing a story and I did not enjoy reading it. It was absolutely horrible.Since then it has been moved to my drafts until further notice.

5. Have fun

You should have fun blogging. Don’t force yourself to blog if you don’t want to. Take your time and if you need to,take that much needed break.

Hacks to saving money while buying room decor

Hello! Wow! It has been quite awhile since I have posted on here but I am back with you guys with another post. Since I have been redecorating my room and making it more minimalistic I decided to share with you guys some tips to save money on room decor and who doesn’t like saving money?

So we all know room decor can be very expensive and if you’re like me you don’t have a lot of money to invest. Here are my tips I like to use.

1. Craft stores:You’re probably wondering why in the world but stores like Michael’s and Hobby Lobby have a lot of room decor if you think about it. Many of those stores have DIY supplies to make your own decor or some of those stores actually have decorative throw pillows, fake plants, and other items. Pro tip: Look up coupons on the store’s website to save even more money.

2. Change the appearance: Maybe you have a dresser that doesn’t really match your room. Instead of buying a whole new dresser, you can give it a whole new look by just using some leftover paint you have laying around.

3. Stick to a budget: Obviously sticking to a budget could be hard but it could save you in the long run. If you establish a budget you will less likely to buy something over your price range.

4. Evaluate what you already have: Before you buy room decor, you should look to see what you have first to save more money. Say you already had a plant and then went shopping and saw another plant to buy because you didn’t think you had a plant. Then you bought a plant you didn’t really need.

5.Have fun: There’s no need to stress out over decorating your room. Decorate it to your liking and enjoy watching your room transform little by little.

Skincare on a budget

We all want to save money but especially when buying beauty products as though sometimes we don’t always have a lot of dough to drop down on a product that might only last a few weeks. Here’s some tips to buy skincare on a budget.

  1. Remember pricey isn’t always good: I’m not saying pricey is bad because it’s your choice on what you spend your money on but there are many brands out there that have great packaging but they either don’t really work or they lead to more problems on your skin.
  2. Do your research: Ask your dermatologist or aesthetician on what they recommend you to use on your skin or research on the internet some similar products.
  3. Drugstore brands offer similar products for less money: Some drugstore brands can be effective and half as much money than original brands.
  4. Health: Your health can play a big part in your skin problems. It’s not everyone’s case but for some people(like me) if I eat unhealthy for a week my skin gets a lot of pimples and my skin gets greasy. Drinking water can help your digestive system flush out toxins from your body which in return will improve your skin.

Those are the few tips I have which you may have heard but hopefully these helped you and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask 🙂

Fun summer ideas without leaving your house

It’s about that time of year when I sit around the house and watch tv all day wondering what I could do to make my summer fun without sitting on the couch all day. So here’s some tips for fun summer ideas without leaving your house.

  1. Learn a new language: summer is the perfect time to learn a new language. You most likely have a lot of time on your hands and who knows maybe learning a new language will come in handy one day.
  2. Self-care: take a long bubble bath with bubbles of course and relax in the tub with a book or a show you enjoy watching.
  3. Clean: When I get bored I like to clean my room and either organize it or completely rearrange it. It passes time and if you have some music or show in the background it makes it fun.
  4. Clear your emails: If you’re like me and have about 300 (I’m exaggerating a LOT) emails then this is a great time to clear them all out.
  5. Get rid of things: If you have a lot of junk in your room just randomly laying around then you can go through it and get rid of it. It always feels great to have a clean room which reminds me I need to straighten up my room 😂
  6. Bake: Baking is not for everyone but if it is for you then that is a great way to pass time. You can experiment with ingredients in your house or bake from scratch if you don’t have certain ingredients.
  7. Create your own etsy shop: You can make a shop to sell scrunchies or basically anything you want to sell and it will give you something to do for the whole summer.Just make sure you have the money to invest and research before you open your shop.
  8. Go through your camera roll: In my opinion this is super fun to do. I like to see all the cringey photos and videos I took in the past. It makes time go by if you have a lot of photos and videos.
  9. Recreate old trends: Do you remember old trends like slime and rainbowloom kits? It’s the perfect time to start learning how to make different slime textures and other things.
  10. Nature: Take a break of being cooped up in your house and go on a nice long walk,or if you are unable to you can eat your lunch outside (depending on the weather where you live).

I know many of you probably have done most of these but if you haven’t make sure to try some if you get super bored. Have a great day and I will see you in the next post.

How to overcome distractions

We have multiple distractions everyday that makes it hard to focus whether its work or school. I will share a few tips and tricks to overcome your distractions.

The first distraction is very common for many people. Many of us can get very distracted by our phones. So the tip is put your phone on silent and put it across the room so you won’t get distracted. If you want to you can check on it every 30 to 45 minutes until you have a break.

The next tip is get at least 8 hours of sleep if you can. Sleep is very important because sleep affects your memory, concentration ,and brain function. When you have not gotten enough sleep you can get very distracted very easily.

If you have distracting co-workers or class mates you can kindly ask them to stop talking to you and if that doesn’t work you can try a pair of headphones. Headphones give the clue that says I’m working so please stop talking to me. Just make sure your school or work allows it.

Stress can also play a big part of your distraction. Sometimes we get very overwhelmed while we are trying to work which causes us to be very easily distracted. You can help your stress by taking deep breaths or use a stress or fidget toy to help calm and relax yourself.

I hope this helped you but if it didn’t I hope you still enjoyed this post. Have a wonderful day and please like this post if you would like more how-to posts.

Tips to traveling on your first flight

First time flying? Here are some tips to help you make it to your destination stress free.

We are going to begin with the carry-ons. Carry-ons are the things I want right near me at all times. Carry-ons are the things I carry around everywhere. I normally bring things like chapstick and a small bottle of lotion because it’s really dry after a plane flight especially if it’s an international flight.

The tips you have been waiting for. I am sure many of you know this tip but if you have a larger carry-on that makes it through the size restriction then just pack your fanny pack or smaller carry-on inside of it. It will save you in the long run.

The next tip is pack healthy snacks. Protein bars and dried fruit are great at holding you over through the flight especially since airport food is unhealthy and overpriced.

This is a very important tip for some of you but make sure all your devices are charged before your flight because you never know when you can charge your phone or device or bring a battery pack.

This is one of my necessities but bring earplugs. If you want to be able to sleep on a plane then I suggest some earplugs. Some people can be very loud and some babies could start screaming so there goes your sleep.

The last tip is one of the most important tips there is. Make sure you arrive at least two hours before departure time. It gives you plenty of time if you get lost and you can make it through security before your departure.

I hope some of these tips will help you on your next flight and happy traveling. If you liked this post please hit that like button. Have a wonderful day and I will see you in the next post:)
